My Story

I’m Dr. Annie Caton-Wong: Licensed Acupuncturist, Health Coach, Essential Oil Educator, Mama, and open-hearted advocate of creating a beautiful, vibrant life.

I work with everyone from busy urban professionals to stay-at-home moms to help them achieve their wellness goals.

I wasn’t always the picture of health. After graduating from Harvard, I settled into a corporate job and applied to law school. Though my life seemed to be on an upward trajectory, I binged on cookies and cigarettes to get through each stressful day. Truth be told, I was unhappy and something in my gut just didn't feel right.

Then I had a big wake-up call: a cancer diagnosis.

Nothing like a serious illness to throw everything into perspective! Thankfully, I caught it early. I was lucky to have an excellent team of doctors and supportive friends and family surrounding me. But I underwent major surgery and lost 60% of my stomach.

As I lay in the hospital recovering, I felt I’d been given a blessing in disguise. That experience opened my heart and launched me on a quest to transform my life. Sure, I was afraid.

But cancer gave me strength and power, and taught me a vital lesson: there is nothing more important in this life than alignment.

From that point on, I vowed to take charge of my health holistically, via body, mind, and spirit. I up-leveled every single aspect of my life: my relationships, career, diet, and mindset. I ended an unfulfilling relationship. I even turned my back on law school.

When one door closes, another door opens.

I dedicated myself to living a life in service of helping others heal.

I threw myself into completing over 5,000 hours of study in Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, essential oils, and nutrition.

I became a yoga teacher and backpacked through Asia. I married the love of my life, and gave birth to a beautiful human. I was finding my alignment.

When I taught yoga, I worked hard to master the art of creating a safe space for mindfulness and healing. These days, I put those hard-earned skills to use as an Acupuncturist and Essential Oil Educator, helping my clients discover their own alignment.

I’m proud to work with people every day to help them find relief from what ails them, both physically and emotionally, so they can step into their full potential and transform their lives, just like I did.

If you believe in preventive medicine, seek natural solutions, and are feeling inspired to take full charge of your health and wellbeing, you’ll feel right at home in your work with me.

Welcome. I can't wait to meet you.
